Dell Inspiron 640m won't power up

I have a Dell Inspiron 640m which does not want to come on. When I press the power button, I have three green LEDs that light up 1 time then when I release the button the LED battery flashes orange 10 times than nothing. The battery must be lame, but little question that may seem, do not I use my laptop when connected to the mains? I tried to remove the battery with the sector ok but I have nothing not even the diodes. Is there a command to use the laptop to the mains until I change the battery?

I also think the lies in the charging circuit, but I find abnormal that the pc does not illuminate just for that there must be a problem in the process of demerge also include either the motherboard or on the software side of the pc. If the LED lights sector or any LED is that there is no power failure I always look for the CMOS (BIOS) maintained by the battery which could be a completely 0 volts? How old is this notebook because this hypothesis would be the case if it would be at least 4 years approx .Try to find this battery and replaces.
