No power on Dell Inspiron 5150

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop which is not booting at all and it just gives out a flashing light. I had anyhow changed my adapter and found that the issue is related to the power jack behind my laptop. My windows is also corrupted and I am also not able to log into the system. I have some of my important data there which I want back. Is there a way to fix windows without formatting out.

Replacing that power jack is not easy. It is soldered on the motherboard and if you does have a proper knowledge about the same then you cannot remove it. You can contact the service center for replacing the same. They will also fix your system issue without hassle. This would be free if your system is under warranty or else you will have to pay some fees.

My laptop does not work because it would seem, an electric shock. I will explain the steps that led me to this problem. I use my laptop off and then unplug the power adapter. Later I replug the mains transformer which itself is already connected to the computer. I tried turning on the computer but nothing works there. I test others taken to the room but it changes nothing. I will check the electric meter and found the power chip on the board is blown.

It possible to restore windows back if you can run your laptop. You have the choice to choose between the recovery console or reinstall the system files specific to Windows XP automatically. Before you can start with cdrom, must be included in the bios in the first CD and not floppy or hard disk of your PC. Boot from Windows disc and then choose the repair option.

The easy way of fixing your system is showing the same to any authorized service center. They can repair it up in some time. System Restore is a new feature in Windows XP. This is a snapshot of the registry that stores system parameters and most programs and executables. System Restore disk space occupies a significant, but the volume is adjustable. You can run this from Windows recovery disk. The monitoring of each volume can be enabled or disabled independently by clicking on settings.

Start the computer on the installation CD of XP, first select the installation option and then Repair when the program detects the current installation. All settings will be reset, but the programs will not need to be reinstalled. Click on Start > Run and then type sfc / scannow. Hit enter and let the service scan your system. You need a product key from Windows XP to finish repairing the system. It is on the side of the computer.
