Inspiron 1520 is unable to boot after connecting another keyboard

Hello there, I have a certain issue in the Inspiron 1520, in the past days I had suddenly spilled some coffee on the keyboard, I tried to clean and tried to operate it on the laptop but I was not able to do that. So I took the keyboard from my sister and i tried to on the laptop but it was not working, also I had seen that the error was due to the DIMM error, so I just disconnect the keyboard and I ordered a new motherboard and tried working on that, but it was nit working as of now I am having a new motherboard and a new RAM connected to it but it is still not working.

Hello there, I was also facing this kind of the problem, according to the problem of mine the problem was in the software but it was not in the hardware, as it was having a lot of problem, as I had a new device brought for my device, the driver cd that was present was not been compatible with it. So try to download a appropriate driver for the laptop and just check if the key board is been working or not in that. Also see that the operating system that is present should be error free, also try to change operating system or to repair the same. I hope this will should remove the error that is present in it.

Hi there, I had the same problem and I have already tried this problem that we all are facing, installing window is not been done because of some of the error that is present and it is been coming forward a lot of time. The problem is that when the windows start installing the normal procedure the keyboard is suddenly disappears and I am not able to enter any of the setting in the computer. So now when there is no key board present in it , I am not able to do any of the setting in it, so again to the level one.

Hi there, did you tried looking in the user manual of the model, There must be a way of setting this problem in it, is this an old laptop, then the problem that you are facing may be because of the keys which is sticky, the only way to fix this is by getting replacement for keyboard. Also you can make the regular keyboard plugged into your PS/2 port which is usually found on the laptop, if you have any extra keyboard then you can do that. Also if you are using a PS/2 connected mouse, you can get a standard Y cord wiring adapter and connect the mouse and the keyboard to it.
