How to overcome the issue “Printer Spool not running”

Hello friend I had some issue of the printer. I purchased a printer with my Dell laptop, a Inspiron 1750 model printer, did not print. I get the message that "print Spooler not working” So I went into the start Menu then select the Control Panel then go the performance option and then to the administrator tasks then to services and turned it back on, as advice in the Help cneter in Windows 7 but it keeps rotating itself off again. My printer is not malfunctioning - I did a investigation on it, and again got the message the "Print Spooler not running". How can I able to turn the print spooler to work correctly and convinced that the settings are turned on. Do anyone have the suggestion how to work out the printer spooling problem.

I think there is no problem in your system setting, I think that there is a problem in the system which you are using in the laptop. So I suggest t check the setting of the printer in inside the laptop. So I will give you the way how to go, first go to the start menu, and go to run option and then type there misconfig. And then there is service tab will be shown to you. In that there is a print spooler option so check mark that option and then restart the system and wait for some time for the system to work properly and then again check printer is running properly or not.

Hello friend I did as you recommended for my pc cause I also faced the same problem of the printer spooling. The print spooler was check marked, but I got message that it is “stopped” . This was right away after I went in Control Panel and from that went to services, and started it up. After departing msconfig, I gone back again into Control panel, and it was scheduled as it is “running"
I m starting to think I have to go back to Win98SE - I never had this much trouble in that operating system . I have only had this OS for 1months, and have posted help 3 times already at various forums. I hope anyone gives me a right solution according to my post.

Yes friend I think that I can solve your problem. I went to the various forums online I got it into the Microsoft forums into the newsgroup forums, and there I got the solution for how to overcome the issue of the printer spooling. I will give you the brief description how to solve it. Go to the my computer select the c drive from that cause generally system folder are present there then go to Windows folder then select system32 folder then go to the spool folder - printers folder. Then remove all the contents of the Printers folder. Close that whole window, then go to Start menu go to the Control Panel then to the Administrator tools - Services – then go down to the "Print Spooler" and then restart your system. This solved my issue for me. I hope it will for you also.

Thank you for such good reply I also founded the same problem in the laptop. Though I have a macbook with macintosh installed in my notebook I thought I will not have any problem with my printer but I also face the same problem so I tried out your way. Though it is a different operating system but it is the same issue for my printer so I cleaned all my content from the printer folder. And then I restarted the system again.
