    Problem backing up Sherlock Holmes

I am having the new version of DVDFab 7030 and try to burn IMGBurn, I am also having Nero. Anyway, I am trying to make a Full Disc backup of this movie and it is giving me problem during the burning stage. It works fine through the whole process of DVDFab until it gets to the burning stage. It is not compressing the disc and keeps the size at six gigabytes. I have tried IMGBurn and Nero but the problem is only with DVDFab 7030. Does anyone else have any problems with this movie trying to burn it in Full Disc mode?

    Hi,

DVDFab face problem in compressing this movie. However Fengtao is trying to find the solution for the same I mean they are working on this issue but in the mean time if you do not want to wait for the solution you can try rip it to your hard drive. After that use DVD Shrink for compressing it to the proper compression to fit on a single layer disc.

I will suggest you to use DVD Shrink.
DVD Shrink is software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc.
DVD Shrink will also burn your backup DVD, if you have installed the latest version of Nero or if you download CopytoDVD. If you already possess alternative burning software and prefer to stick with it, then you can still use DVD Shrink. The output from DVD Shrink can be saved as files on your hard drive, which you can then burn with software of your choice.

Re: Problem backing up Sherlock Holmes

I am trying to make a copy or the backup of the main movie of Sherlock Holomes and, like everybody else, I am also facing the same problem. I have tried to use the latest version but the latest version and the older version neither work. It looks to be working until I inserted the disc and then it displays the message "failed to burn, want to try again" and finally I cannot make the copy or the backup!!

Has the problem been solved yet? Thank you.

Re: Problem backing up Sherlock Holmes

I bought Sherlock Holmes today and using my the original paid subscription version 7.0.3.0 DVD FAB HD Decrypted it for ripping the movie. Everything looks good and seems to work fine. I then used DVD Shrink as I always do and then created an ISO file of the complete disk. I then burned it to a Verbatim DVD-R using the program, ImgBurn and everything worked fine.
However, when I tried to run it using Cyberlink Power DVD movie player, it pixelized in places, mostly toward the end of the movie.

I have never faced the problem in taking backing up my original movies but I am not sure what happened. My original movie is playing good.

I am also sending the log file that is in the attachment.

    Hi,

There is a known problem between this title and DVDFab that it is not able to compress it properly Fengtao is working on this problem.

Hence, I will suggest you to compress the files with DVD Shrink before burning it. If you are going to or want to create an ISO image file of it then you want to compress the files first before creating the ISO image and see how that works.

The thing which I was talking about is before you create the ISO file is to compress the ripped files. That is Video_TS folder then play the ISO file using the media player such as the VLC and if the ISO image file plays good then burn it to disc through ImgBurn at 8x write speed. One more thing you can also open the file with DVD shrink that is having the playback window.
