ATA channel, device cannot start (Code 10)
I have recently started to get this error code 10 and I have also removed it many times but it comes back again and it is now starting to annoy me. I bought a 500 gb seagate hard drive and setup a raid 1 on the pci card. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue? Thanks a lot for your time.

Have you tried going into Device Manager then Hard drives then and locate your Seagate. Is there a yellow explanation mark there? If yes, right click on the Seagate and Uninstall. Then reboot so windows will re-detect your Seagate drive.
Re: ATA channel, device cannot start (Code 10)
All external Seagate and Maxtor-brand drives are compatible with Windows XP and 2000 Professional.
However, no external drives are supported (nor very compatible in practice) in server operating systems such as Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server, or Windows 2008 Server.
Any external Seagate or Maxtor-brand drive should appear in Computer within about 30 seconds as a new drive letter when it is connected and turned on.
This page is for troubleshooting Seagate and Maxtor-brand external drives that once functioned correctly but are now no longer detected.
For troubleshooting a non-detection problem for a brand new drive that has never been used, please see this troubleshooter instead.
For troubleshooting an external drive that is connected by eSATA, see the Serial ATA troubleshooter.
