Microphone issue (Too quiet, even on max settings)

I have a Razer Carcharias headset and on my motherboard it have realtek ac97 audio HD Audio included. My subject is that I am looking to record sound from my microphone and while the sound class is first-class, and all gets chosen up okay, the input is truly quiet. Yet in the midst of the recording volume at maximum, and the Mic Boost at +30 db, the record audio is possibly a third the volume of normally hear on my computer at the same volume settings. Oh, also, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Can you suggest me any idea regarding this issue?

Same issue with my friend also. But his problem get solved by changing the operating system. So I think there maybe an issue of regarding the operating system. Uninstall your windows 7 operating system and try windows xp. So I think it will your issue it also happen because of the latest driver update. And for windows 7 there are not very much updated drivers are available. So try it I think it will solve your issue.

When I was finished building the new rig then I have picked up the new headset for it. And really I don’t know much more about it. And after that I have didn’t check it on the another operating system. First I have tested it on my netbook which is running on windows xp operating system. And it fix mine issue try it.

Actually this issue I have heard for the second time first time it is with my cousin and other one is you. Do you have a line in jack? I think it is because of the triple resistance then you have 1/3 the voltage. It may be the wrong impedance. So check this.

I am very afraid because I am not very much aware about it so tell me. Actually my front ports are normal Mic and Headphones. And in that headphones to the headphones jack, mic plug goes in the mic jack. I think totally I have 6 or 8 jack plugs in that two are the usual green and red plugs for headphones and microphone. And my realtek software confirms that those are the correct one. If you think it will work better in another port so I am eager to give a shot. There is no any problem regarding the volume or quality for music or games or anything and I run it about 45%. I'm at present trying the microphone on my netbook, which unluckily also uses Realtek audio. I am not able to discover mic boost on my netbook anyplace but in Playback, under microphone. It doesn’t have that option. What to do?

Let’s say your audio needs 12 volts to provide max volume. If it get 4 volts it give much less volume. I believe that mic is not the proper one for the realtek audio and therefore the lesser volume. Here may be an modification in the audio control panel. If you utilize the snip tool to build into windows 7 to get a pic of the control panel and upload it to us. So regarding that, we can inform you more.

Are you signifying that I shouldn't use the Microphone port, but maybe any more of the 6? I recognize for confident that I have it plug into the right port for Microphone in both cases If so, could you suggest which one? And ya the mic boost in windows 7 is in fact on, and Maxed at 30 DB. It's not a check box, it's a slider on my mic. This is during my face port, not my back one. Just let me identify and I'll attempt and find the one you intended.

ok I need everyone to stop bsing people about "what's you hardware config.... blabla...what's your impedance...what's your voltage..." that IS CRAP and we all know that it doesn't matter, and that if we install win xp linux or anything else on the same system then the god damn mic will work just FINE....

so do us all a favor and be honest, can this problem be solved ? does it have a solution ?!??!? or did microsoft f something up about windows 7 and they don't even want to patch it....

I've been searching forums... trying everything out... I even bought a new headset to be sure that the problem wasn't physical, and it's not... ok it's not... it's windows related, maybe the drivers... maybe the windows, I don't know, all I know it's not working, and I'm not going to change my operating system (which takes like 4 hours of work) and use something older... just because some lazy hackers from microsoft won't have a go at fixing this... it's a damn mic.... even windows 3.1 had better recording quality and volume !!!

    FIX IT !
