Samsung BEAT 450 infected with virus

I have purchased a second hand Samsung BEAT 450 mobile phone. But it seems to be infected with a virus. When I connected it to my computer my AVG anti virus detected and deleted a virus from this Samsung Beat 450 mobile. I believe it is in the memory card. Also tell me some features of this mobile as I am not used to it.

But what is the guarantee that it would not be infected in near future. Is there any anti-virus that I can use to protect my mobile phone from such threats and malicious programs?

Even my Motorola MOTOROKR E6 was attacked by a virus which actually made its way to my MOTOROKR through my desktop computer. I was left with no option then to completely format my MOTOROKR. But since then I have downloaded and installed Kaspersky Mobile Security for Mobile Phone on my MOTOROKR which is a good anti-virus.
