ThinkPad T series are true top models thanks to so many characteristics. The ThinkPad T500 and its smaller sibling the T400 adds a superb combination of usability, build quality and corporate quality support into the mix. With display sizes of 14.1" and 15.4", equipped with modern and, if desired, powerful hardware, the current T-models can cover a wide range between mobility and performance.
The T61 delivers all the typical ports, including FireWire and both PC Card and ExpressCard slots, but there's still no memory card reader.
The Thinkpad T500 is a new 15.4-inch laptop in the refreshed T Series. The notebook features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and switchable graphics. The T61 uses the new Intel Centrino Duo platform (Santa Rosa) and offers a number of design updates. The Lenovo ThinkPad T500 may not be as stylish or as fashionable as say, a Sony Vaio but what it does offer is practicality and usability with capable all round performance.
The T500 Thinkpad is the latest 15.4" refresh of the longstanding T-series out of Lenovo. ThinkPad T400 and T500 are successors of T61 and we can predict just from these marks that T400 has 14.1’’ screen and T500 has 15.4’’ screen, both of course in wide format. While performance of T500 is not bad, its non ergonomic design and weight are cons when considering it. The major flaws are no LED displays above 1280 resolution, non ergonomic design of the palm rest with mouse pad taking extra space, loudspeakers on the top taking space.
