Clarification on RAM

I need some information about my RAM,
In fact I find that my computer lagged more and more especially in video games that demands a lot of resources. I was told it was my RAM. Yet with my 2 X 1 GB DDR 2, 800 Mhz and brand Kingston.
I think either overclock, or is taking.

What do you advise?
Can I just overclock my first 2 bars and then add more RAM better then?
Do you know a good software for overclockage RAM?
Knowing that I have a food and fans who follow behind. Moreover, I think I can manage my 4 GB of RAM with my mother and 64-bit Vista.

I have a modest graphics card that meets on behalf of Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT 256 MB And a timid Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33 GHz.
