Troubleshooting Blue screen of death after installing Norton Internet Security

Recently I have upgraded myself from Windows XP to Windows 7. I have also updated my drivers with the latest update. I have also installed Norton Internet Security so that my system could be protected. After the installation of Norton Internet Security antivirus I am facing problem. When I restarted my system after installing Norton Internet Security then Blue screen appears on my screen. I restarted my system so that the Blue screen problem could be resolved but it failed. I need a solution so that I can troubleshoot his problem.

After the installation of Norton Internet security if you are getting Blue screen on your system then you can easily troubleshoot it by following the steps given below:

1. You need to start the system and login as “Administrator”.
2. After the system restarts you need to click on the start button from the desktop and then select “My Computer”.
3. When the My Computer window appears, you need to select properties. In the properties window you need to select advanced tab.
4. In the advanced tab, you need to click on the settings button under "Startup and Recovery".
5. You need to click on the "Automatically restart" from "System failure" section checkbox to disable it.
6. This will prevent the Blue screen of death problem. You need to click on ok button to save the settings.
7. After saving the settings you need to restart your system and check if the blue screen of death problem has been resolved.

Thanks for providing me the solution. From the above given solution it was possible for me to troubleshoot the problem of Blue Screen. Now my system is working fine and I can browse the internet safely. Also I want to know that what are the possibilities due to which blue screen of death appears on the screen. I need some other solution through which we can troubleshoot Blue screen of death problem.

Blue screen of death may be appearing because of faulty RAM installed in your system. If you are having more than one RAM module installed in your system than you can remove one module and then restarts your system to check if the blue screen of problem has been resolved. If the blue screen problem has not been resolved by replacing the RAM then you can replace the removed RAM and install a new RAM. The blue screen of death problem will be resolved by replacing the RAM.

If you have installed a new hardware in your system then that piece of hardware might be faulty due to which you may be getting Blue screen appearing on the screen. In that case you can disconnect the new piece of hardware connected to your system and the Blue screen of problem will be resolved. Suppose that you have installed new driver for some hardware in your system. After the installation of driver if you are getting blue screen of death then the installed driver may be conflicting with the other installed driver and because of this you are getting blue screen of death. You can solve the Blue screen of death problem by uninstalling the driver.
