Resetting Norton Internet Security firewall Password

I was using McAfee antivirus installed on my desktop. Recently I found that my McAfee antivirus is not working, so I uninstalled it and installed a new antivirus thus Norton Internet Security. After installation of Norton Internet Security antivirus, it scanned my system and removed malicious programs. Now my system was working fine and giving excellent performance. I have lost the password of my Norton Internet Security antivirus and there is no option for resetting it. I need a solution through which I can reset my antivirus password. Also I need a solution through which I can reset my identity safe in Norton antivirus.

Norton Internet security is a powerful antivirus and it protects the malicious code from entering into the system when we are browsing the internet. Norton Internet Security antivirus has an inbuilt antivirus that protects the system. If you have forgotten the password of Norton Internet Security firewall then you can reset it from the steps given below:

1. You need to start the system and click on the start button from the desktop.
2. After clicking on start button you need to select settings/control panel/ Add or Remove Programs.
3. In the Add or Remove Programs, you need to select Norton Personal Firewall and then click on change button.
4. Click on reset button, type the displayed password in the Password key field.
5. You need to enter new password and confirm password text filed and then click on ok button. Now the Norton Internet Security firewall password has been changed.

Thanks for providing me the solution. From the above given solution it was possible for me to change the password of my Norton Internet Security password. My system is working fine. Last night I was getting pop up message from my Norton antivirus such that “you need to update your Norton internet security with the latest update” and I need a solution so that I can troubleshoot this pop up message problem.

You need to update your antivirus with the latest update so that it can protect your system from malicious code. You can download the latest update for your Norton Internet Security from the official website. After downloading the update you need to update it and the pop up message will stop appearing on your screen. Also the system more protected than it was before.

The steps to reset password for Identity Safe are given below:

1. You need to start Norton Internet Security and from the identity pane you need to click on settings.
2. You need to click on Configure button next to Login to Identity Safe label.
3. You need to click on “Reset Identity Safe” button after entering wrong password for two times.
4. You need to click on “Yes, reset my password, I understand I will lose all of my information” button.
5. Click on ok button and enter your password credentials.
6. Again click on ok button to reset it. The Identity Safe password will be changed.
