How to delete this W32.Netsky.X@mm?

My computer system is working really slowly. When I scanned my personal computer with the AVG scan antivirus software I got the alert message that W32.Netsky.X@mm is detected. I have deleted this W32.Netsky.X@mm many times but I got the same alert message when I reboot my computer system. I have no idea why this is happening to me. I just want to know how to delete this W32.Netsky.X@mm from my computer system.

Thank for your reply. First if have upgraded my computer antivirus software but it did not woked. Then I have downloaded avast antivirus and also downloaded the updates for avast antivirus from the link given above. The rest of thing was managed by this antivirus. Now my computer system is free any kind of viruses. But I also want to know the preventive measures for avoiding the problem like these in future.

You must follow the preventive measures given below for avoiding the problems like viruses, worms, and Trojans.
1. Regularly update your antivirus
2. Enable your firewall setting and use strong password for your computer system.
3. Update all the application software you are using on your computer system.
4. Do not use pirated software
5. Scan all the documents before downloading it in to your personal computer system.
