Ftp permissions delete

I am trying to delete files using my FTP program but I am unable to do so as keep getting Permission denied errors. I am the administrator for this account. can someone tell me how to do it also tell me better way to grant or denied permission ?

i am using FileZilla Server + FTP Client to manage my account online that is much efficient way i dont have any problem with it . also check here to know NTFS Permissions access to overwrite/modify a file by user

You have to check to see who the owner of the directory and permissions set for directory.If the owner is 'dhapache' or 'root' contact support.try shell script which will run all the time.

To grant permissions for a folder:

1. From FTP host, click on Folders and select the folder from the list.
2. select Edit than properties window appear.
3. go to User/Group list, use user group, Click Edit. The Permissions dialog appears.
4. you can add group if it is not already in the list by clicking Add.
5. Select the user or user group from the list. The permissions for that will appear.
6. Select the Permissions options
7. select another user or user group and set their
8. permissions.
9. Click OK to save changes.
