gmail server error in Windows Mail

I was trying to configure my Gmail account as POP3 or IMAP in Windows mail. Now I don’t had any idea about its incoming and outgoing servers. Though any how I finished the setup but now when trying to send or receive mails, I get this:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject 'test', Account: 'XXXXX E-mail', Server: 'smtp.gmail.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first s30sm10719570elf.3', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

Somebody please help me out of this. Thank you.

Well according to the settings, it seems like your settings is incorrect, probably the ports. Just open your Account properties and go to Advanced Tab and make these changes:

Outgoing needs to be 465
Incoming needs to be 995.

Now go to Server Tab and make sure to select My Server requires authentication" for the outgoing. Save the settings, restart Windows mail and see if you still getting the error.
