    Using VLC for webOS

    Well as you know the VLC media player is the most efficient media player ever I have seen. I am looking to have a particular requirement for this particular player. I want to know how can I get VLC on the Palm webos? I let know that the Palm pre is available for free. Let me know if you are having any idea to acheve the requirement of mine. any suggestion would highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

    Well I am having couple of question which you should consider in order to get the requirement of yours. Can you port over the iPhone app by using the Palm over the PDK? Can you run the emulator without using any device? As far as I know that there is no particular device or hardware is available in the market. So you should consider the all the above mentioned point to get the requirement of yours. I am hoping that it will help you out.

    I am glad to inform you that there would be releasing of the Smartphone which would have webOS 2.x installed on the same. This particular thing will have support for the Mojo. Such phones would provide great opportunity to you in order to update and deliver the apps for the all the users who are using the new webOS devices. Alsp to help us out the developer is looking to give latest device to test the apps on the same.

    I think it would be quite easy thing to do. For example the C source code which is available for the Nokia N900 would make run in the Pre/Pre2. The integration of the User Interface would be specific to the WebOS. However it would be quite easy to do the same. Personally I am planning to send the sprint pre except with the verizon communication board. But still I am fearing that non-original hardware would make the thing quite complicated.

    Well I looking at the situation which you have provided over here I am suggesting that you should contact the developer of the software and ask for the Palm Pre2 from the same. You can simply email to get the same. Also you can visit the official website to get the further information on this particular matter. And according to me it would be great idea to have Pre2 and another one thing I like to tell you that is WebOS is good OS and you should use the same.

    I think there is something like flag is available in the player. You can found the same into the ./configure –help.
    You can also use the following command on the terminal.
    Code:
    ./configure --enable-run-as-root && make && make install
    Well I really wanted to appreciate the developers of the VLC player to add this particular Flag on the player.
