Cannot access the recorded DVR video

I have been doing research for a while but was being not successful due to some reasons , let me tell you about my system specifications , I have got AMD Athlon II X2 Processor 2.70 GHz and a RAM stick of 4 GB installed , I use Nvidea GeForce 7800 graphic card and have Windows 7 64 bit operating system , I am attempting to use my Directv DVR R15, since along with my system I have connected a ATI Unified Avstream TV Tuner. I wish watch my videos that I have recorded on my DVR on my system . The issue is I cannot access the DVR, my Media Center chosen up the signal but will not allow , Please help me in this issue if any one can.

Well I just went through your issue , you are recording the video you watch in your television , you just had said that you were able to choose the signal but could not access the video then according to me you will possibly require something like An ATI All-In-Wonder Card If you have a Dell system they may have Video package adapter card. Essentially you are using your PC as a Video recorder and you require unique hardware to do it. You can then acquire software to edit it ahead of you burning it to a DVD.

If you ask my opinion I too think that way You will require to obtain some sort of card for your system like ATI All-In-Wonder Card. It will transform your system into a DVR. There are also motherboards that will allow you plug Video equipment so you can copy to your HD. Well if this is not your expected response then you can look for a lot of available tool fort this , get downloaded it from the internet and get your work done.
