How to Stop VLC from always maximizing

Hello friends, I have got this unusual problem with the VLC player that I am currently having on my system. The problem is that whenever I try to play the video using this player, the VLC will start the video maximized at that very instant. Due to this I am not able to go to the start menu or the options that I have opened at the taskbar. For this I have to manually go to the settings of the VLC player and have to change according to me. This is very irritating as again and again I have to follow the same procedure. So can any one help me to overcome this difficulty. I would be very thankful for any one who comes up with the solution.

hey you can make the change possible by changing the settings of the video display in the VLC Player settings. You can go to the setting and select the screen size that you want to see the videos in. Press oK and you will surely be able to view that video in the screen resolution that you have specified. I had done the same thing and whenever I open the video through VLC it will start with the screen mode that I have selected. Try this out and see if it works, if it doesn't then please be free to post again we will think of another solution.

Hey which version of the VLC player have you installed in your system, I think that the latter version of the VLC player does have some problem with the screen resolution of the video. I think that this is a kind of bug in the player that is needed to be resolved and is still there in some of the new VLC version software. So I request you to again install some other VLC player and then see if it solves the problem of the screen resolution, try various version and see which works best for you.

Hey this problem is faced by everyone who are currently using the newer version of the VLC player, this is a kind of bug in the software which is the company has failed to resolve. Although the problem has been reported to the company they have been taking the necessary precaution to remove this bug. Although this bug is resolved in the latest software but the old one whcih the users had downloaded from the web is still lying there and so the only was to resolve this problem is to again download the software.

Hey I have got the solution for this kind of problem, the problem lies in the setup files of the VLC media player. What you can do is that you can go the folder where all the VLC files lies and the Delete the %appdata%\vlc from that folder and then see if the problem gets solved. I hope so it will definitely solve your problem as it worked for me.

    Worked like a charm
Though at first i tried just deleting inside of appdata/vlc dir and it created new files. So at second try i deleted whole directory as suggested and the vlc window stays minimized.
Must say it was getting annoying the whole maximized window thing.

    Thnx for the tip.
