Skype help!

OK so my skype worked fine on my computer for a few months, ever since I got it. Now all of the sudden it won't open. So I uninstalled and installed it (I tried all the versions) a FEW times. I tried to system restore also. I'm really not sure what to do it's really annoying. Any help?
I have windows 7, btw.

Do you get any Error 1603 while installing skype on Windows 7? Usually, skpye version 3.8 and below are not supported on Windows 7, that is why, when installing latest 4.x versions on Windows 7, and you see the "Options" button, uncheck the "Extras Manager". Then continue and install skype on your computer.
