    FAVC subtitles

I have installed windows vista operating system on my desktop computer and i am running one DVD on this vista system. Actually i am trying to add .srt user selected subtitle to the videos but there are no subtitles are shown while i play the video. What name must be given to watch video with the subtitles?

Actually you have not mentioned properly that where exactly you are adding up this subtitles so that you can view those subtitles while watching the videos. You have to go to the DVD Options Tab and then go to the Notebook Icon in the bottom box where you can find for the "Subtitle Files". Here you have to add up the srt files.

Windows Media Player 11 can directly load the subtitles automatically but the condition applies that the subtitles file name should be matched with that of movie. Suppose if you have a video named as a Film.avi then the same folder should be containing the Film.srt which is a file for subtitles. You may try it and check whether it happens or not.

It is not necessary that the video file and the subtitle should be having the same name for displaying the subtitles in the Video Playback. But you just have to make sure that the video title is listed first then load the subtitles for it. Go to the Advanced Tab and check "Don't start batch file" then run it. You go through the files from the WorkingFolder0 where all the subtitles are added. Please note that i have posted this solution for FAVC.

I think Windows Media Player is not able to load the subtitles for all the types of video formats. It can only do this task for the SAMI formats. It do not have any support for the subripper files. But you can do the same after installing the vobsub which makes WMP able to add the correct subtitle playback.

I think I have caught mistake. Actually there are no onscreen menu to turn them off or on. On the Real Player, there are two “none” tabs on the menu for the subtitles. The top one is for applying "No" subtitles and the bottom is for applying the subtitles. This is bit complicated with the Real Player buy anyways, We have to live with it.

The menu given for the most of the converters which are available for free only provides the title selection. You have to select for the subtitles using the main Subtitle Button on the whatever DVD player you are using. But as I am not using Real Player so I don't know how it works.
