FLV Extract Problem on Wondows Xp

I'm running Windows Xp as my operating system. The problem is that FLV Extract automatically extracts video as well as audio from FLV files without re-compressing or decompressing. After that the video has been saved to AVI and the audio is been saved to MP3. The AVIs will not play unless you have the right decoders. Can any one tell me that how to resolve FLV Extract problem? Any one knows about it? Please help me out.

Inorder to view the saved AVI-files, you need to hae the right decoders installed. Is it possible to do it the ffmpeg way, with an enormous base frame-rate and avi drop frames filling in the gaps?

The frame rate denominator is calculated as nanoseconds per frame, which in this case overflows because there are only 2 frames spaced 6 seconds apart. However, the .AVI that was output showed some distortion at the bottom. This may have been due to other errors in the source file. Maybe I can find a better way to calculate the fraction.

There are a number of software available both freeware and shareware that allows to extract the audio part of an FLV file but almost all of these re-encode the audio after extraction to the desired output format such as MP3. Check the command line carefully and also watch the text displayed by mp4box to be sure it is using your input framerate (it defaults to 25). Also check the output video file to be sure the framerate is the same as what you had on the command line. As a result the extracted MP3 file you will get may not have preserved the 100% quality of the original audio stream that was originally there in the FLV file.

You can try to Repair FLV files by remuxing them with freeware FLV Extract and mp4box. You may install K-Lite Mega Codec pack if you have problems with codecs. Or even better, just extract AAC audio from FLV files using freeware FLV Extract. You can also convert your recordings to MP3 using RMC itself or any audio/video converter.
