hi
i have Battlefield 1942 disk .The autorun Battlefield 1942 works but not the installation.I have tried installation but it failed to install on a PC (which has sufficient specs for BF1942). I i already checked minimum requirements. so please help me ?

I had vista 3 times reinstalled but the game Battlefield 1942 provide problem , I downloaded the patch 1.25, stopped the firewalls for the game and as soon as PunkBuster turns me after 2 minutes so check online i choose the game and you click Software Updates. PBSetup i downloaded was the automatic version or For Players Filename: pbsec.htm . Unzipped files were installed in the PB.
Normally that works.

The default behavior of PunkBuster is to use the install path "pb" folder as a "home" path for reading/writing/creating PunkBuster files. If you run multiple instances of the BF2 server on the same computer from the same game installation, this default behavior may prevent PunkBuster's auto-update system from working properly.
procedure to be performed with the software: the software install
-click on add and select Battlefield2 game in the list
-then click on check for update
and now the update and you should put a secret code to see your session in your administrator account management. right click on the icon battlefield play online and go in Properties click on shortcut then click on advanced check execute using other information click ok and apply and now the final phase right click on the icon battlefield (play online) and click on "run as" check in the following use" to your account and password that you choose for your aver

Download and install Windows Installer 3.1, reboot to complete the process, then try installing the game again. another problem can be BF 1942 uses SafeDisc copy protection so some DVD drives cant read properly .Depends how you burned the disk SafeDisk works so some areas of the disk more difficult to copy.
