Polyphony has a surprise for GT fans this morning in the form of a chunky new update for GT5 Prologue that adds three new cars and some neat gameplay tweaks.
Citroen, those into the motor industry may know, revealed a brand new, beastly-looking concept car in Paris yesterday called the "GT by Citroen", and Polyphony have already stuffed it into Prologue.
Also look out for the Lotus Evora and Ferrari California in the game's dealerships. And there are a fair few other tweaks in there too.
The downfall is that the update will reset all your rankings, arcade time trial times, drift trial records, as well as vehicle-specific quick tune settings and custom key layouts. And replay data made before the second update (released on July 30) will be rendered unusable."This includes changes to the penalty system; specifically, during Time Trial events, speed penalties have been removed, and instead incurring such a penalty now invalidates the lap time for that particular lap," explains game producer Taku Imasaki.
"Race events are also being updated, with tweaked difficulty levels and increased earnings for winning a top spot. Additionally, improved responsiveness when using the wireless controller, and improved sound volume balance for sound effects and music for a better racing experience. Drift Trial races have also been changed to feature a rolling start."
