initial paint delay pref changed by firefox

Hi friends. How are you all. I hope everything fine. Well, guys I am stuck up in an issue and need to get out of it. Solutions to it are appreciated on a high note by me. Well, the problem is that my nglayout.initialpaint delay setting has been changed from from integer to string by firefox. The values have been in the same way as they were previously, but the pref type has been changed compared to what it was. What should I do now. I am on mac operating system X 10.4.

Hi. These things do happen sometimes in day to day life. There is no need to panic. It is not a big worry at all. Just follow in an appropriate manner whatever I tell you. Just right click on the about:string page the pref so that pref will be reseted. In fact, it will become an empty string. Then, you will be required to close the firefox and then re start it again. This will surely resolve your issue what you have mentioned and things will be like before.

Hey hi. I am fine and I hope same is at your end. Anyways, well the query that you have mentioned, even I have passed through it once before. So, I can surely guide you how to fix it out. Well, I read the abve post and it is perfectly right. However, in the last stages there is one more way that you can follow. After the firefox is closed, you can get rid of the quotes from prefs.js or in the case it can also be user . js , if you are going to put them there.

Hi. I would like to tell you that there are many types of softwares that are available which can bring modification in the preference settings. There is hide ip platinum that can bring changes in the connection settings by just adding proxy settings with the help of user.js file. Also, there is one more which I know, it is Mcafee privacy settings service which can disable the pop up blocker. In this, the preference is set from dom.disable_open_during_load to false by the use of user.js file.

Hi. The way I know that you can get away with the preference file from profile folder by reseting the preferences o default values in a manual way. Also, take care that after existing the firefox, you will be required to open the firefox profile folder. Be careful that there is one more folder named as profile inside firefox installation directory which includes the program defaults.Do not mistaken it with the firefox profile folder.
