videos/slideshows not working with IE8

I have installed the Windows Vista on my Dell Inspiron laptop. I am using an Internet Explorer 8 as a default browser though an internet. But the problem is I am not able to stream the videos nor I am able to view the sildeshows by using this browser. I am trying to play the videos on the Foxnews.com. Can you guys give me some idea where I might be going wrong?

May be problem seems to be with the browse you are using to stream the videos on your windows vista machine. I suggest you to use some other browser which may not show any such problem. Its been many years that I am suing Mozilla Firefox which is my favorite browser as it never shows you such simple problems, no matter which website you are using to stream the videos.

It seems like you are not having problem while streaming the music videos from any other sites then that of Foxnews. I guess your browser might have got tweaked up by some plug ins which you may have installed on your Internet Explorer 8. I using other browser must not show any problem or you you may try reinstalling an Internet Explorer which is not at all a bad browser to use. I guess even reinstalling the same browser should also work for you. But make sure that you have disabled the pop up blocker which may not allow your browser to show such contents from the site.

I don't have much idea about the video streaming from the website but if there would be anything related to the operating system due to which your browser is allowed to stream the videos from IE8. I think you should try booting your machine in the safe mode and then try that the same browser is able to stream the videos from the desired website or not. I guess it must be working now if there is no other programs on your machine recently which may show some interruption in the internet connection for loading data. You need to reboot your machine and then keep on pressing the F8 key which will take you to the Windows Booting Options where you have to select for the Safe Mode.

There could be some viruses which can affect your browser while loading any media from it. Actually there might be some malicioud file presented on your windows machine that is affecting the performance of the browser to use the plug ins which are needed to run the slideshows and videos online. I suggest you to scan your machine by avast. Download avast.
