Logitech QuickCam Chat and windows 7

I have installed the windows vista on my computer system and basically, I bough this PC just because of surfing the internet, So decided to purchase the webcam and I purchased Quickcam and wondering. When I move to install this , the product wouldn't install on my system just because of some facts that I have windows 7, Is this the issue of compatibility or what ...Please let me know, I am getting frustrated now ...

I need to know some information about your we cam model number and product specification then after I can able to get the proper solution. I have been tired to say that please don't waste your time and my time also , you should just post the product specification because in a single category, there are so many model are produced, So you should check the specification on your provided USB cable tag. And in case, if you are unable to find out the absolute product ID and specification then you should go for this thread

I am also in the same situation but running with different specification and one thing more that I have performed the installation properly, I am am not sure that it is just because that doesn't work either.. I am also with the same QuickCam Chat and the product number is as follows :861193 -1000...

I tried the application compatibility configurations to perform as a Windows XP SP2/SP3 software and it is still doesn't work entirely. There is no issue that I got during installation but the issues are received from the windows and it says there's no driver found..I have tried the webcam software's and LWS... but nothing happened after all ...

I also purchases the Logitech Quickcam Connect E2500 (960-000217), and started the downloading and then installed the Windows 7 software, and still there is no success after all . The available software doesn't allow and didn't allocate any way to focus the camera (or it did not install properly ).This is the first occasion, when I have been disappointed by Logitech product. Time is to valuable to mess with this thing. Taking it back to the store and will go through a little more cost for another manufacturer/model. Windows 7 has completed this to other applications and even Microsoft's own products.
