Logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision has been flipping upside down

I have just bought a Logitech Quickcam UltraVision and need to use this on one of the website named as stickam. When I go on-- The picture is proper but it has been spazzing out and every couple of seconds, It flips upside down a couple times in a row just twitching. I am sure that it has nothing to perform with the "Mirror, Upsidedown" options in the configuration because those are switched off and it was not just stopped upside down, it's twitching back and forth from right side up to upside down. it seems so annoying and I require to know what I have to do now with this and how to resolve this!!!

Would you provide me some information regarding your configuration about the products specification and all that would be much helpful for me. I need the following information -

    • What is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera tag
    • Which version of the Logitech provided QuickCam software application/drivers is installed
    • Which one operating system , you are using currently ?
    • Does this problem occur when you use the camera in the Logitech provided QuickCam software application, or only with the third-party Instant Messenger software's ?

If you are getting stuck to find the product specification then you can use these link which will suggest you to find your device specification ...Just go through the links below :

    Locating Product Information
Locating camera part numbers, model numbers and product name

Re: Logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision has been flipping upside down

I purchased this camera from ebay and the bottom half of the black tag has been CUT OFF so I am sure about the proper numbers. It happens to every third party (or different websites) which I need to use the webcam with. The programs , I use is whatever downloaded when I connected the camera with the computer system if that makes sense. And this is what it says in the system part of my machine . This is the only information that I could get and I think that it is appropriate because I am not sure that how else I am supposed to search the numbers when they are cut off the tag!
SYSTEM: COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ50 NOTEBOOK PC
    Manufacturer: hewlett-packard
    System type: 32-bit operating system

There is another way to find out the specification of the device and that information would be obtained from the local system.I am going to show you that how you would be able to find the product ID of your camera..

1- Install the camera through the suggestions received with the camera.
2- Now, open the device manager by making right-click on My Computer icon and select Properties.
3- Choose Hardware tab and click on the Device Manager button .
4- Locate your webcam within the Imaging devices and double-click on it.
5- On the Details tab you would be able to see a Device Instance Id that seems similar to the image attached below .
6- You can get the vendor ID in four-digit hexadecimal number following "VID_" and the PID is the four-digit hexadecimal number following "PID_". See the pics below ..

How do I find the vendor and product ID of my camera

The simplest method to find the vendor and product IDs from the system with the help of predefine command and you can get it simply with the help of the lsusb command. It may look something like this:

Bus 005 Device 015: ID 046d:08cc Logitech, Inc.
Bus 005 Device 003: ID 05e3:0605 Genesys Logic, Inc. USB 2.0 Hub [ednet]
    Bus 005 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 413c:2003 Dell Computer Corp.
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 046d:c00e Logitech, Inc. M-BJ69 Optical Wheel Mouse
    Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
In this scenario, the first statement is a Logitech webcam. If you are not getting that which device is pointing to this, just execute the lsusb before and after connecting in the device. The vendor ID in this slide would be as 046d and the product ID is 08cc (for "QuickCam Sphere MP").
