Access Point Unavailable on Wap in Samsung Marvel

Hello there, I have recently bought a Samsung Marvel mobile phone. The issue which I am facing is that whenever I try to access Internet on the phone using WAP, it gives an error message saying "Access Point unavailable". Because of this I am not able to access Internet on the phone. Is there any setting required for accessing Internet on the phone? If yes then please provide the settings accessing internet on the phone. Any help is highly appreciated.

In order to access internet on the mobile phone, first the GPRS has to activated on the SIM card. If GPRS is not activated on the SIM card, then you will not be able to access Internet on the mobile phone. As you are getting the error "Access points unavailable", it is possible that the GPRS is not activated on the SIM card. Contact the customer support of the service provider and check if the GPRS services are activated on the SIM card or not.

You cannot access Internet on the phone if you dont have the required settings for the phone. You can get the settings for accessing Internet on the phone from the customer support center of the network provider. You will have to provide the model number of the phone and they will send the required settings for accessing Internet on the phone. Once the settings are received, you will not face the same problems again.

Instead of getting the settings for the mobile phone from the customer care center, you can configure the phone on your own by visiting the official website of Service provider. The GPRS settings for all the handsets is available on the website. Configure the phone according to the settings and save the settings. Now try to connect to the Internet and see if you are able to access any website or not.

It is possible that the network is having some problems due to which the access points are unavailable. Sometimes certain access points for the WAP and GPRS are unavailable due to some network issues. Hence I will suggest that you wait for sometime and then try to access WAP on the mobile phone.

    Hello Abhra,
I recently purchased the same phone as you. I am having the same issue not being able to get on the web, also can not receive or send picture messages. What website did you go to, to configure your phone? The website I tried only has for Ireland and UK.

First of all, which carrier or service provider are you using? I live in India here and I usually use a Vodafone service provider or carrier on my mobile. And to get access points or gprs settings I have to send them a sms and soon after I get a gprs settings send by them via mms on my mobile phone and I just have to save it on my mobile phone and then in settings I just have to make my default access points settings to vodafone_gprs and it is done.
