Antec Kuhler H2O 920 for overclocking Q6600
I am going to buy an Antec Kuhler 920 and I am going to use it to overclock my old Intel Q6600 quad core processor. Can anyone tell me how much overclock can be done for this CPU with this cooler without getting any high temperatures? If this cooler isnt the best for overclocking then can anyone recommend me some other cooler that would be helpful. Thanks

What is your rest of the computer specifications? Most of the different system will work accordingly to the different Bios settings because of the differences of the CPU, RAM, motherboard and PSU. In any case, you can expect a good overclock of your CPU at 3.6ghz stable but for that set a vcore of 1.475v or somewhat lower or higher value.

There are many guides that you can read to overclock your CPU and the Antec cooler that you have is also pretty good. You can read them here by searching it in this forums. Or else you can check out some similar threads that are based on the same questions that you are asking here from the below links:

I am using a Q6600 processor on an Asus motherboard and I am running at 3.6ghz @ 1.35v stable with an air cool system obviously. If it is possible to decrease the voltage a bit if you can increase the PCIE frequency in your system. When you have overclocked your System then you will get the same option to incraese the PCIE frequency.
