There is a better and good on which is the HD 4650 DDR2 1GB, but the problem will be that it will be a bit of a side grade. So you see for it and then try to buy it. Even I have also seen the GT240M MXM II; I have seen it on some site as I do not remember the site link as I have seen during the searching of some good graphics card on the internet for my friend. As I think if that does not work then the overclocking 9600 M would be the best and good to deal and use also. So better check it out for it.

Well I have also heard that the Acer Aspire 6935G can use the graphics card of Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR3 card, I think it would be the best and also the good one to use it. So you see it and buy it.

I would like to tell you that you be careful, as you said about the card of which you are using, tell me add you something that the more video memory you add then it will make a smaller impact on the graphics processing unit or GPU performance then it will the faster video memory. I want to also add that the 512MB 9600M GT which is you are using on the current system is been equipped with GDDR3 (Graphics Double Data Rate 3), so I will insert you to use or to upgrade to the 1GB DDR2 version of the 9600M GT, so you check it out and buy it and install it. Actually, it is probably on pair with the 1GB DDR2 HD 4650. So you can see that and try to buy it.

Try to find the GTS 250m GDDR5/3 and also try to buy it from the internet as well. If you buy then it would be a big upgrade to the current GPU, as it uses 5 watts, so you make sure that you have the cooling sufficient in the system.

I just bought ATI HD 4650 M96 DDR3 1GB MXM II and installed it in place.
Everything sounds about right, but there is no display.

Is this card supported to aspire 6935.

I have tried to do bios flas with no success.

    What can i do?

Isnt Acer Aspire 6935 a laptop that comes with NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT onboard or seated on it? How did you manage to remove this nvidia and replaced it with Ati? Can you explain what you did properly, so that we can get a clue as to what you have did? And did you first remove the nvidia drivers or not?

Re: Suggestion for upgrade of Acer Aspire 6935G Video Card

GPU is in mobo via mxm 2, so the replacing new ATI gpu was quite easy.

I got aspire 6935 from my brother and it was broken. Didn't do anything, no power, nothing.

Bit of google and found out that the GPU could be short circuited, if power comes back without gpu that would be the problem. And so it did.

I found out that i could upgrade the gpu at the same time and the cost of this better gpu was the same than earlier nvidia card.

So i ordered new card via ebay and installed it in.

Power comes and laptop looks when turned on that loading normally, but there is no display at this time

Tried to flash bios with USB and Fn+Esc with bios file KM2X64.fd
    but it doesnt update bios.

Tried now with external display via vga but no picture. Next i try to remove gpu and try vga again and do bios update. If that wont work i must make bios update file straight to hdd, and boot from there.

Bios boot dos image won't fit because it's 2 mb.
Soon i'm running out of options if nobody helps me with this.
