It is very simple to do that. You will just have to go to the settings > Accounts and Sync and from there just remove the existing email account of previous user of this phone and after that you can easily add a new email ID over there. So just do this and check if this can change the email ID for you or not. If that failed to work then please reply back here and we will try to get it solved in some other possible way.

I knew that the above given steps are very correct and that might help you too but that totally depends on the previous android OS versions. So if you are not having the accounts option then you can simply go for the factory reset. When you will do that then it will ask you for the google id which you wish to use. At that time you can give your email address and that will set for the phone. It will also reset all the changes of the settings that the previous user might have done with the phone.

Here is one solution that I got from the manuals to reset the phone. "Open the Home screen, program list, and select Settings > SD card and Phone memory to factory condition > choose the phone to reset.” In the overall return on all Programs installed on your device and Data erased and all settings are set to their factory default configuration. The language selected will not be reset.

I do not think that there is any need to reset your phone as you can simply do that from the settings. Just go to the Settings > Accounts and sync > corresponding tap Google account > Remove account. However, you must first be added another account before the original can be deleted. By this way you will be able to do that. I hope that you and other users who are searching for the same will find this useful.

Since your email ID are not synchronized, then we propose redesigning your sync settings at Settings > Accounts and Sync and picking either AutoSync or touching the record you could want to match up and picking "Sync Contacts." Along with synchronizing contacts, please once more down any paramount provision information or alternately settings by piloting to Settings > Privacy and selecting "Back up my information" and "Automatic restore."
