I also faced the similar kind of trouble in the laptop and I don’t know why it happens. Then I had checked the mouse setting in the control panel and I see that there is to be some changes happens in the setting. Then I use the restore setting option. It works really well and now there is no error occurred in this mouse handling. In windows 7 there is special restore setting option presents which help us to avoid such kind of trouble in that laptop. I think you need to use this option.

I am suggesting that you need to firstly read the manual of the mouse. It helps you to understand the actual issue. So, after reading these manual, the trouble shooting topics presents in this manual. It helps you a lot to understand the issue. And then you definitely solve that kind of trouble from the system. If it you cannot understand the issue then replaces that mouse with the new mouse which helps to avoid such kind of issue.

I am suggesting that you need to firstly check the connected wire of the Logitech mouse. Sometimes the connection establishes between the laptop and the mouse is to be not connected well and hence this external mouse is not well connected. In that case, you need to replace this cable with new one it helps you to trouble shoot the error. Then there might be possible that this trouble will not be occurred in the future. I think you had to do this because it works.
