How to Replace LG Xenon LCD

I recently broke the LCD screen on my novel Xenon. I establish a substitute LCD on eBay, but could not discover any information on taking the phone apart. I figured my way via it and thought I should post something somewhere so others can find it. This probably voids the warranty. You need good eyesight and are prepared to release microscopic screws should be carried out. Virtually the only tool you need is a glass eye and a tiny Philips screwdriver tiny flathead screwdriver or lever device. I found a few kits on eBay counting a pry tool and a T6 Torx screwdriver, but my all Philips Xenon without torx screws. Anyone has any idea about this?

    1. First take away the battery and SIM.
    2. Take out the 6 screws on the outer surface of the back of the phone and a seventh turn at the back where the battery is based.
    3. The piece of colored plastic phone can now be eliminated from the body of the phone. There are some plastic clips that fit, so take some leverage to get it free. But do not break it.
    4. You can disconnect the ribbon cable that goes from the middle of your screen to your motherboard. Simply pick up your nail out of the circuit board.
    5. There are three buttons on the side of the phone, volume control, camera button lock that is not mine and I felt we had to put back in. There is also a rubber bulb on the end of the SD slot and USB port covers that fit in the house that can come to leave and need to be restored.
    6. There are two groups of four screws holding the average phone display which slides on rails.
    7. After these screws are removed you can separate the two halves, the notification of the spring that snaps into place in two rectangular holes (one in each half of the phone, screen and keyboard).
    8. There are six screws on the back of the screen; three are covered by plastic circles that must be pried open. They are glued in place.
    9. Now you can remove the back, which in turn requires a little leverage to snap off.
    10. The screen has two pieces of black tape that holds the body of the phone and also has the cable to the headset attached to the back of the screen in two places.
    11. Once all the tape is free if you can disconnect the headphone cable is connected to the circuit board through the nozzle.
    12. The LCD display connector is dissimilar from the others so far. This is not an add-on to the plug, is more like a ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) connector. On the other hand, while I attempted to open the hinge of the whites to secure the band until it broke mine. So maybe this is not a ZIF. Some may insert a connector of the Force? I just unplug the old cable pulling new cable and pushed the screen inches from my work with the clamp still partially broken. Hopefully someone figures this part better than I did.
    13. The headset contains a magnet that likes to put on the back of the LCD. Make sure you get everything laid before trying to snap back together.

Here I just want to say something about this. I also repair my xenon. I was very happy, because video provides complete instructions, part arrived quickly and now my phone is working again. You can simply find the video for this on google, where it shows everything. I mean the whole procedural guide. I just suggest you to go through this. I wish this all information must help you out to solve your problem.

Here I also have the same question about this. And I just tried to replacing the LCD screen as the instructions said. It worked great except the display lights up but shows nothing. Since blue light is now able to reach the new screen, but not shown. Do you have any suggestions, or why not show its any information. Anyone has any idea or any suggestion on this than please reply. Thanks for any feedback you may have.

I had the same problem with my screen as well. Try adjusting the terminal block on the screen in the slot, which should be fairly straight and not tilted. I tried to turn the phone without the cover and the new screen works perfectly, but as soon as the pin of the screen cover up me up screen appears blank, but lit. Apparently, the lid, when pressed, forces the output connector alignment. I took several attempts to get it right. Hope this helps.

Re: How to Replace LG Xenon LCD

I bought a replacement LCD screen, because my old broken in several places. I took the whole thing apart for the next video Repairs Universe. Everything went well, but I realized that tab, as in the bottom right of the screen replacement is. Well, actually there. So it is not able to "stick" to the crack, which is for and the unique screen. I did not think much of it and place the phone back together, but when I turn the phone, the Touchscreen at a standstill works, but the screen is black. Maybe that had something to do with it? I have no thought; it's just a try in the dark. I will attempt to disaccumulate and reassemble it another time, but if there are any guidelines or ideas you could give me, I truly am grateful for it.
