K-9 mail not working properly In the droid phone

According to me the Droid's email system is of no use. The performance is quite disappointing, when we compare it with any blackberry mobile it shows how the performance differs. The email client program in blackberry phone is quite interesting and I very flexible to use. The problem with this mail program is that it continuously downloads deleted emails. I have to accept that the gmail is the only descent email program that I have found in the phone. The problem with the using of the k-9 is that it returns all the deleted mails. I want only the new mails to be appeared in my inbox. So anyone who is a k-9 mail client user and is able to help me with this solution then do let me know about it.

Well even I am a k-9 user. I have been using it with the yahoo mail and trust me I have never found any duplication error. I have almost 3 user accounts with the yahoo and I have still not found any duplication or mixing up of the mails. It’s been a year since i am using the k-9 mail account. The experience was quite good. So if you are facing the problem I would advise you to have a check with the service provider regarding this issue. As the issue that you are facing is quite uncommon. So better do have a talk with them and get your issue solved.

Talking about the k-9 email client program. I would like to say is that agreed it has some problems but still it is far much better than the stock mail client program that are present In the phones. When the droid phone was first released it had many problems with the mail delivery system. it was highly inconsistent at that time. That was the phase when maximum of the user decided to go with the third party application. k-9 is one of them. as per as your problem is concerned I would advise you to have a look at the pop and the imap settings in your application. I think that might get your problem solved.

My advice for you would be to try with the different mail program. Just try setting up a different mail client program like msn and the yahoo. Just check whether this setup runs properly or not. I think changing the different mail program would definitely help. Also while setting up the mail program I would like to advice you that try keeping the setting as automatic and do not opt for the manual settings. This would be a better option for you. So do try with this suggestion and let me know if that works or not.

Do anyone have solution for my problem? Well the problem is that k-9 continuously keeps deleting my mails after regular intervals. Well it keeps deleting those messages which I have downloaded to the system and which I think it would be very important for me. So I store such mails In the system. k-9 deletes those messages from the phone on its own. I need those mails specially because whenever I am traveling and I think of forwarding those mails to some of my clients I cannot. So are there any methods by which I would be able to store the emails in the sd card. Do send me your valuable suggestions.

I think so you will have to manually make some changes and stop it from deleting the messages. Check in the settings if you are given with any option of changing the mail setting from automatic to manual setting. Once you are done with that you can stop them from deleting the mail. However I cannot guarantee you that this method will definitely work for you but still what’s the harm in trying this method. So let me know what solution have you got.

I think the problem is not solved yet. I am still stuck with the problem. I cannot predict what can be the problem here. I am asking some of my friends what can be the solution in this problem. I have tried with all the changes that you have suggested. I don’t think changing the mail application program will help me much because gmail is a good application and I don’t think setting up k-9 with the gmail is the main problem here. The main issue is the continuous downloading of the mails. So any more inputs from anyone?
