Sony vaio gets stuck at regular intervals

I have recently brought a new sony vaio notebook for myself. I was very excited about this particular notebook. It was Sony VAIO vgn-fw190. However all my excitement and happiness was lost when I opened the notebook. It had a windows 7 operating system. The first thing i did was to do refresh of the page. So I did a right click of the mouse and you will not believe it it got stuck the notebook got stuck. So what I did was a restart of the system. After the restart of the system it ran smoothly for sometime but again it got stuck. I was really very angry with the product. After some days I tried with the startup repair method of windows 7. Well that also did not gave me any results. So do you all have any idea what can be the problem here? If you have any solutions for this particular type of problem then do let me know as soon as possible.

Well I think the problem can be solved by running a system file check scan in the command prompt. There might be a possibility that there must be some problem in the windows files. So do have a complete scan of the files in the command prompt and the necessary problem will be fixed. Well in order to run this particular tool in the command prompt you will have to have the administrator rights. In the command prompt type the following command
sfc /scannow
the scanning process will start after you run this command and all the incorrect versions of the Microsoft files will be replaced and corrected accordingly. So do try with this method it will definitely help you to solve this issue.

Well if you are having the necessary dvd/cd of the windows 7 operating system with you then I would advise you to do a clean installation of all the windows 7 operating system. So do try with that method. It will definitely help you. However before trying with this method ensure that you keep a backup of all the important data if you have it in your notebook. Also ensure that you have a good restore software so that you will be able to restore all the files in the system. I think this particular solution will definitely help you. Since you have mentioned that your notebook is a brand new one. So you can complain this to the dealer about this particular problem and get your notebook replaced. This would be a better option according to me. Since the notebook freezes at every regular intervals. I don’t think so repairing the new notebook would be a good option. Since it is a brand new one and repairing does not sound good to me. So you can also try with the above suggestion and let me know if they get it replaced.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Well let me tell you that none of the solutions have really worked for me. I will try talking to the dealer about this issue. Since it comes under warranty. Let me admit that the freezing problem is degrading slowly. It does not gets freezed so much as it used to do some days ago. I think the sfc scan has helped but to some extent. So anyone of you having any more solution's regarding this topic then do let me know as early as possible.

I have sony vaio cw2qgxb and it has something like stuck or lag...I donno what the problem is.
I send it to warranty, but they didn't repair it and still there is that problem.

Is it a new Sony Vaio laptop or an old one? There might be a heating problem with the sony vaio laptop of yours. I think that you are running out of system resources from having all those resource intensive apps open all at the same time doing different things. You can also try to run a memory test program to test the ram, or run through the hardware diagnostics at boot if your laptop has them (all our computers have a diagnostic partition for hardware testing).
