If you are system is getting stuck at regular intervals then probably it is the sign that your memory is very poor. Your system is running and occupying much of the memory of your CPU. You must check with the ram and probably upgrade your RAM. Also do check the video card may be its giving the compatibility problem which leads the computer to get stuck at every interval. So you must get your video card drive updated. So first check with all these settings and it will work for you. So go ahead with this solution and let me know if it works.

I think so you must totally scan the entire system probably the inclusion of some malware in your system may cause this problem. Now some malware's can effect the memory of the system. So do a complete scan of the system and this will help. Now if it does not works then you must perform the entire format of the system. After formatting the system it will give you the desired result. If still it does not give the desired result then the last option is to contact the technicians from the particular manufacturer. Probably this will help you. So just try this solution.

If the system is getting stuck at regular intervals then probably you must have to format the entire system and do get the driver's of the system uninstall and install it again. What this will do is that probably whatever little the driver may be giving issue's will be erased and you can probably start with the new system. After formatting the system probably all the malware's can be removed. Do an updation from the windows live. This will keep your system updated and probably reduce the chances of getting stuck at regular intervals.
