Help While installing mer on Nokia n810 no boot menu

HI, I just obtain my Nokia n810 and decided on the way to install mer on it. Unluckily at what time I installed it the initial moment it did not go over so fine. I replaced as well as installed once more. Both occasion I installed by means of the instructions for the mer boot menu plus mer installer “simple" choice. On one occasion ended installing it pops up through a message regarding significant how to reflash a further thing and inquires if I desire to carry on. I type yes furthermore the terminal window stopped up, as a result I rebooted. The boot menu did not offer me an choice to boot mer. Just internal. I installed mer on the way to internal flash however it at a standstill boots to maemo. Does anybody have some instructions for me?

Fine, mer is dead as well as is no longer being developed. I recommend you stick through most recent diablo plus the community ssu furthermore wait (unwearyingly) for the meego edition for the n8x0. After then only your issue will be resolved. So the best one for you is to stick with the Diablo. Hop this will assist you.

I was thinking somewhat regarding the community SSU to Diablo moreover how to go about it. Clearly we have a number of community-relevant resolves to the app manager and a quantity of other things that be able to be helpful. However what I am wondering regarding - if you had a possibility to choose one preferred set in Fremantle bug fixed in the unlock source packages as well as have this back ported to be fixed in a community SSU, which will you get - and why?

Unhappily, it is not so much a solution as a total rework. On the whole, what annoy me the majority is that until diablo, one can trigger a network access at the same time as in offline mode, state yes on the dialog, plus have wifi attach to a saved hotspot routinely. Iit as an alternative state that it cannot discover any saved hotspots, as well as I have the feeling the Nokia devs be familiar with where the bug is, although as the networking system have been completely replaced for Fremantle, there will by no means be a fix.

I also agree with your thought. Most recent (last) edition of Mer was 0.17, and booted up okay to the desktop, however the graphical atmosphere was completely slow. If you encompass a bit of Linux knowledge, and desire to test, there is for all time Android 1.6, however it also does not dual-boot, as well as still has a few problem although. Or wait for Meego. Hope this will assist you.
