No boot menu while installing Mer

I am having Nokia N800 with 2GB memory card. I was trying to install Mer on my phone. Well I have ran the software and begun with simple installation. Well it has formatted and partitioned the card successfully. Well I was unable to find the boot menu. I want to know how can make available boot menu? Please help me if you are having any solution to solve my problem. Your response will be highly appreciated.

I am having Nokia N800 and I have decided to install Mer on it. But I was unable to install Mer on the phone. I have reflashed and tried to install on the phone. I have used instruction from the Mer boot menu and ‘Simple’ option from the Mer installer. Its prompt me that how will you continue with reflash? I have entered yes on the terminal and window gets closed. I have restarted again but it does not ask for any boot menu. Is there anyone who has any clue about this problem? I am waiting for your prompt reply. Thanks in advance.

I think it is universal problem as far as Mer is concerned. You can use the following steps to install boot menu on your phone. Well the question is how to install boot menu? Well you have to press and hold menu key to get Advanced Boot Menu and it will installed boot menu on your phone. So try it let me know whether it is working or not. I am really delighted if above mentioned solution is helpful or you.

Well I have started the installation process before installing the boot menu. I had try to installed the boot menu from the boot menu package but it didn’t help me I have downloaded initfs tgz file from the internet. I have installed the same. Well boot menu is working properly but I am unable to boot Mer itself. I think I have to begin the process from the beginning. Please tell me if you have any way to boot Mer.
