Nokia E52 is not ringing.

I am facing really strange problem with my Nokia E52. I am using General profile in which I have set mp3 for incoming calls and receiving the sms. It works great when it is in ringing mode but it stops ringing after switching from silent mode to the general mode. . I have to restart the phone to make it ringing. I have missed many important calls due to this. I am really helpless. Please tell me solution on this. Thank you in advance.

Well looking at your situation I want to suggest you to go for the latest firmware update for the Nokia E52. You have to connect the phone to the pc. Nokia PC suite will provide you firmware upgrade option. Once it is upgraded you have to restart the phone. I am warning you that you should take back up of the data before you go for the firmware upgrade since firmware upgrade deletes all the data from the phone. It will be the best solution for you.

You have to do following steps do fix problem. I am reminding you that you should remove the memory card from the phone. You should also take back up of the data before doing the following. #7780# reset the Restore Factory Settings. You can also use #7370# to do reformat I hope it will work for you. I was also having the same problem with me. On of my friend told me to do hard reset but he warned me that all the data on the phone will be deleted. I had tried on my phone and it really worked for me. Well you have to do following steps. First of all take back up of the data from your phone. Press star key(*), 3 (number button) and green key on the phone till the Nokia boot screen appears on the screen. According to my opinion it will be really helpful to you.

Well if the above mentioned solutions are not working for you then I am suggesting you to go to Nokia care to resolve your issue. It will be nice if your phone is in under warranty.
