Programs Not Responding on Toshiba A500

This Sunday when I was coming back to home from my college then my laptop dropped down from my hand. I was happy that is not damaged physically. From that incident whenever I try to run any application then I found that the program gets freezes randomly or I can say that it stops responding me. I have to wait for few minutes to get response. I think that there may be some damage internally to my laptop which is causing this problem. I am not able to judge the fault. Therefore I am leaving this thread here in the hope that I get the answer from you guys. Please help me.

Hi, there is 99 percent chance that it is your hard drive that is creating the problem for you. Your hard drive may be damaged by that jerk as you told. You can send the laptop to Toshiba to change the hard drive or you can do this on yourself. It is not very difficult to do that. Other option for this is that you can upgrade to SSD drive and this will make the processing of the laptop faster. This is one of the most possible reasons for this issue. It’s correct that the hard drive may be the reason for this but before going to change the HDD, you can do one more thing. Just run the chkdsk on your hard drive. This will scan the entire system for the bugs fix that accordingly. Once it completes the process then you have to restart the laptop and check whether the problem persists or not? If it solves the problem then it will save your money for the new HDD. If that does not do then you can go for changing the hard drive.

The most general causes that the programs are not responding to you is that the application itself may be corrupted or conflicts over resources. This is also depends upon the windows behavior to the applications need. The best solution for this problem is to install the application again and see that whether this solves the problem or not. There are more chances that reinstalling the application resolves this problem of freezing application.

It is possible that the connection to the hard drive and the motherboard got loose and it is losing the connection while running the application. Make the connection to the HDD tight. Along with this you should also remove the RAM and reinsert that in the slot this may solve the issue. If RAM do not have proper connection then also it cause the similar problems. Check for these two things before moving to any other solution.

You should check the system for the virus attack. It may be the problem prior to that incident and you may have not noticed that. Just to confirm that, scan your entire system with a good antivirus. Make sure that the virus definition for the Antivirus that you are using is up to date. Clean all the infected files that are detected by it. Reboot the system once and check whether it solves the issue. Thank you.
