How to update xbox 360?

Hello friend,
I have a Xbox without any hard drive, now I am willing to use the media server software and also apply this, but the problem is it not working properly, because the XBOX is not updated, so before that I need to update that one. Now the main problem is that while I attempt to update the xbox I need to go to the memory device for installing the update or I have to make the gamerstab.i also tried with the USB but not having the memory I am not able to update with the USB stick. How to update xbox ,without the memory device? Any idea on this problem?

I think the simple solution to update the XBOX in the latest version you have to connect the XBOX with the high speed internet connection like the Broadband, if the console of the Xbox is not connected with the internet. While you connected with the Xbox LIVE the console will start automatically. Create the membership account for the Xbox LIVE, it is just the offline profile. For that go to the Marketplace tag in the Xbox Dashboard and select the Join Xbox LIVE. If you have an existing accounts for the membership then access this one from the Xbox live dashboard.

I think you can do this by update the console software of the Xbox 360. For that you have a high speed internet service. You simply connect the XBOX 360 with the internet and go to the My Xbox under the console window and then select the System Settings, select the service by which you connect the Xbox 360, either the wired or the wireless. Select the name of the wireless service. Then click on yes. After a message will appears in the XBOX screen which contains the update message of the console software for the Xbox 360. Click on YES or UPDATE to apply the update the software. In this way you can easily update the console software of the Xbox 360.
