Synchronize Iphone 4 to a PC or Mac

I am going to buy a new iphone 4. I have 2 computers and both for my different purposed. The apple Mac for personal use such as gaming, songs, videos, movies etc and the windows based laptop for my business purpose. I also use my iphone both for my business and for normal purpose. My question is which system can I use to synchronize with the phone? PC or Mac? Which one is better?

As your problem concern you may go for any of the systems. Don’t go for both. This is because once you synchronize the data from one computer and trying to synchronize from other one you may lose the previous data either in the phone or the computer. Some tome this will happen accidentally when user automatically synchronize all of his data once at time. As far as your primary purpose is business then use PC software with Iphone4.

In order to synchronize the iphone 4 in Mac you need to make the several update in it. From the operating system to its hardware peripherals you will need a OS Xv10.5.8 or late version OS, USB 2.0 port and iTunes 9.2 or later. Without these you cannot able to synchronize the iphone4 with you Mac. And yes you will also need a iTune Store account and the internet access.

As I gone through your problem and I have seen that you are mostly using the iphone4 for business purpose. Because it provides most of the business applications with user friendly touch interface. So I urge you to go for the windows PC. You can update these systems at very low cost if it is not compatible to iphone4. The minimum requirement is-
    • PC with USB 2.0
    • Windows 7, Vista, XP home or Professional edition with service pack 3
    • iTunes 9.2 or newer version and store account
    • Internet facility

I think it is good to have 2 kinds of computers with different OS. As far as my opinion is you can synchronize the data in both computers if it is possible. I am not sure. But if it is possible sync the contacts and calendars or notes to the PC and the iTunes, music files images to the Mac. Because Mac handles the media files in an efficient manner.
