4.1 update completely screwed my proximity sensor

I have the iPhone 4 and it was really working great, but after some days the issues started to rise with the proximity sensor of its. So I decided to go on some of the forums and get there help. I heard that they suggested me to update the firmware from the 4.0 to the current 4.2; somehow I managed to get that thing for me. Now the problem is that when I installed the updates on the iPhone instead of solving the issues it has come up with a more lot issues.

The issue that you all are talking here is all together same with me as well. Well I was never facing any issue with the iPhone I just tried the updates and then got in this drastic situation. Well you have someone to blame for but I have only myself to blame for this. When I did the update on my iPhone 4 to the 4.1 the performance was totally arbitrary. I made several calls and I saw the screen turn on and off eternally even when the phone was nearly half an inch away from my head. Any suggestions

Well I do not think that this is all together proper but the one thing that I was told to do when had the issue of the proximity sensor with the iPhone, the Apple’s tech support asked me to add some delay in the operation of the sensor. Well I tried doing that but the net result was that the whole response of the phone got slow. This is the apparent solution at this moment that I can give you and I think the same will be said if you ask the Tech Support.

If you are finding the difficulty with the latest firmware update i.e. 4.1 then I think that the best idea would be to roll back to the previous version of the 4.0. I would suggest you if you that if you are having the issues with the current settings of the mobile phone then only go for the updates or else you will definitely lose the smooth things that are running on the cell phone. Please try the roll back and I am sure that the things will get back to the normal place.

I would ask you to get the Master Reset on the mobile phone. Sometimes the issues like this are really handled well with the Reset. Now the case is how well do you do the Reset, if you are not doing the Reset properly then you are bound to fail. At this time I would like to tell you that in order to do the Reset on the iPhone you will have to press the Home and the Power button simultaneously till the logo of the Apple appears. When you will see that at that time you can be sure that the Master Reset has been done.

I do not think that you will be required to do the Master Reset. Well there were some problem like this and I have seen that the problem was rectified by mere resetting the network settings.Hope that this will work for you.

First go into Settings app on your iPhone
There you will have to tap General and thereafter go to the bottom and see for the Reset
Tap the Reset.
Under the Reset you will have to tap Reset Network Settings.

CAUTION: DO NOT TAP ANYTHING ELSE OTHERWISE THE THINGS WILL BE MESSED SERIOUSLY. ALSO THE SETTINGS ON THE NETWORK SETTINGS WILL BE LOST LIKE Wi-Fi NETWORKS AND PASSWORD.
