I will suggest you to upgrade it as soon as possible, and also will help you to improve the efficiency of the data. When someone is saying to upgrade from old palm to new palm there are different ways of transferring the data. Here is the way that how you can upgrade it .

    • confirm whether the software is updated or not .
    • check whether the software is compatible for the new palm or not
    • determine that the new software is doing any harm to the old device thet is nothing but hotsync .
    • check whether the data is transferred or not.
    • Resync the new device which will enable it to transfer the data from old device to the new one.

If you want upgrade your palm device from Old to the new one just keep one thing in mind that the data which is earlier stored should not be lost.It totally depends on that how important the data is for you, while upgrading your device you have to reset your factory settings. What it will do is it will reduce the chance of your information is being stolen by someone else .
