Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling of the application in the Blackberry? If not then i will advise you to reinstall the application and see whether it is working for you or not. I think that the installation of the Google Maps is created to some issue so installing again might resolve the issue. Hope this will help you.

If it is not resolving then i think you should have to contact the Blackberry regarding the problem you are getting. As the problem started after the Google Maps installation so it seems that there is some problem with your device only. So contact the Blackberry and ask the same to them and find the solution.

I think that you should master reset the device of yours and then install all the application from the scrap. To reset the phone just get into the Options and then to Security Options. Now open the General Settings and click on the Menu key and select "Wipe Handheld". This will reset the blackberry phone of yours.

This is the issue with the Facebook which behave like this only. I am having the same problem after the installation of some application into my device but this is not the problem of the Blackberry this is something to deal with the Facebook only. The Facebook will resolve this issue soon with new mobile facebook application.
