Auto-Lock grayed out after iOS4 upgrade

I am facing certain issue with my iphone. The auto key lock settings is disabled by default. It was working before. I had added a application which was having lock screen support. Due to that my phone was working slower. Then I removed that and enabled the default key-lock settings of iphone. But the same is not working at all. The settings are grayed out. I cannot select anything from that.

To reset an iPhone when an application stops responding or not working fine then the following steps can help you. It will bring back your old settings. It is quiet easy to do that. You have to press the Home button for 6 seconds and then you will see a welcome screen appears. Then to reset the iphone you need to press here Standby and then wait back till you see the Apple logo.

Have you tried ZiPhone. It is a software that provides you factory settings option for iphone. You need to plug the iPhone into the station and connect the same to the PC. Then launch iTunes and click on the reset button. Your phone will reboot and your old settings will be back. You can do that with iTunes also. You just need to click on update. Also check that your internet connection must stay live.

I think the application which you were using was not fully removed from the phone. There are some more settings which are still enabled. So if you can find something in your iphone then try to remove that. The other option is hard reset. Keep the home button pressed for about 6 seconds until the home screen appears. To reset the device hold the standby button.

Restoring the original factory default iPhone will likely solve all problems, with the disadvantage that all data and information stored on your phone will be lost. Normally iTunes will automatically make a backup when you connect and sync the iPhone with the program, however, there is always a good recommendation Copy and stores everything you may need on the phone prior to restoring the iPhone.

In hard reset you perform factory settings. This means it will wipe out all your data and there will be nothing left in your iphone. So do this in case of urgent need. Check the settings properly whether you had not stopped the service. And if you plan to go for hard reset then Turn off iPhone and press the Sleep / Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the red skip this step if your iPhone is already off.

Just update the software of your iphone. That will help you to fix the issue. There are some issues after iOS4 upgrade. I had upgraded my iPhone 3G phone software to iOS4. After that some application which worked great on the older phone is giving out issue. Like my mail account setup. I am not able to connect to my mail account and even after all settings nothing worked.
