Might be there is some issue with the port on which you have connected to the dual screen. I think you just switch off the laptop and then use another port for the dual screen which you are using. And then power On the laptop and see whether this time switching on the screen causes the problem or not. I think this will help you.

I am having the same kind of the issue but it was not with the dual monitor. It was the board failure and starting system is the freeze of the complete system. I advise you to single monitor for 4 to 5 hour and see whether the system freeze occur or not. If it is then i think it is better to service the board.

    Re: Dual screen freeze

As you have told me to run the single screen for 4 to 5 hours. I did the same for the whole day and did not got any issue of freezing of the system. After that i have tried running the Dual screen without the USP Port replicator and no system freeze occur. So now i am working with the dual screen without any issue but still wanted to know the reason behind the freezing.

This seems to have the problem with the driver of the USB replicator which is not showing the compatibility with the Windows 7 and you are getting the continuous freeze of the system that you are using. So solution of your problem is that download the latest driver which is having the compatibility with the Windows 7. Thats it!!!!!

Yes, The problem is with the compatibility with the USB replicator driver in Windows 7. Downloading of the latest driver will enable you to work again with the USN replicator. If you are not getting the latest driver then go to the official site of the Lenovo and then ask for the Windows 7 compatible replicator driver and you will get it
