Lenovo Thinkpad T42: Reformatted Hard Drive, but no networking

I am having an Lenovo ThinkPad T42 which i have got with the Windows XP. But due to some virus reason i had formatted my Laptop. And later on installed the Fresh Genuine Windows XP in the same. Everything is working fine except the networking. The Wireless is not working and when i have checked the control panel did not found and networking device in the same. So please help me with the issue. Thanks

I think you might be missing with the driver of the Wireless which is not able to detect the hardware device of your that you are going to get. I request you to install the driver of the LAN for one more time and see whether it is working for for you. Also let me know about the installation of driver is working for you or not.

If your computer is missing any of the driver which is necessary to run the system. Then i will advise you to install the ThinkVantage and after that update the same. It will automatically detect the driver which are missing and then download the same from the Lenovo site so that your system will work fine. So try this out.

Hey thanks for the quick response that you have given me regarding the issue of mine. But let me tell you that i have individually installed the driver for Wireless but nothing happen. Also updated to the ThinkVantage and expecting that it will resolve my issue but no help. I am unable to get it working yet. Help me.

I think that there might be some issue with the driver which you are installing. So i am advising you to download the latest driver for you Wireless device from the Lenovo official site and then install the same into your device. I think instead of installing the driver it is better if you will update the driver once. Just go to the device manager and then right click on the driver of the Wireless and then to click on Update Driver. This will ask you for Internet access or location from where to update. Now update with the CD location and if not working then allow internet access for same.

Wireless Driver for T42

As you have asked me to go through the link and have the update the Wireless driver which i have followed carefully and the issue which i am getting i.e. Lenovo Thinkpad T42: Reformatted Hard Drive, but no networking is got6 resolved and there is no problem with the Wireless. Thanks a lot for the help.
