    Netgear wpn824v3 slow connection

I have installed Netgear Rangemax v3 as per the instructions I have settled it up in an exactly the same way as my older one. I have connected cable modem, to Netgear, ethernet to Dell comp, wireless to two other computers and HP printer. Now the problem is that i am getting very much slow connection. I am getting an error as "cannot find server" always except searching for google. Printer also says that it is connected but it cannot print from the router.

I guess there would some kind of disturbance to your router which might be making your internet speed working slower then what it should be giving you. I think an easiest way to solve this problem is to setup your router again and then check that the same problem is there or not. And even check that it can print for the printer or not.

This kind of problems can also come because of the breaking internet connections. Actually i mean to say that it could happen that your router would not be giving an uninterrupted connection as it would be getting lost after some time and then it connects immediately so ultimately it results in the slow connections.

AirPort Express makes creating a wireless network as easy as finding the closest electrical outlet. Connect your DSL or cable modem to the Ethernet port on your AirPort Express. Open AirPort Utility, select your AirPort Express, and click Continue. Follow the onscreen instructions to create your new network. Take your iTunes library beyond your computer with AirPort Express and AirTunes. Install Bonjour for Windows from the CD included with AirPort Express. Follow the onscreen instructions for connecting your printer.

I suggest you to use the web-based utility of the router. For doing this you have to open the whatever web browser that you have installed on your computer system it could be an Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator or some other. Then connect to the router by entering 192.168.1.1 on an address field and then click on GO. Then you will be asked for an username and password so i must say that default username is "admin" and the default password is "password".

It does not seems to be an issue with the setup which you have made on your computer system but i guess you need to do some settings. First of all adjust the MTU setting and switch to an Advanced tab and click on the WAN Setup. Now keep on lowering the size of MTU to 1492, 1400, 1358 or 1300. Now apply the settings and check that your problem has been solved or not.

    Re: Netgear wpn824v3 slow connection

Hello I just bought this router Netgear WPN824v3 and I have it set up and it just doesnt work right. I have tried changing the configurations but I am having no luck and have ran out of things to try. First off my connection is slow but it is because i have a broken connection I can see it from my connectivity light it blinks and turns right back on. I seem to have a fast connection when it is wired direct into the router but seem to have a connection break even connected.

Just a little bit on the way I have it set up I have it set as b/g mode only and I have it set to channel 5 as I have checked with a program for channel interference and no one else is using this channel. I have also tried to change the MTU settings and that hasnt worked either. I have the firmware updated to the latest. Also both my laptops are HP's Both have Atheros WiFi Adapter

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Im a do it your self type person and have searched for answers all day and have come up with nothing. LoL

Any other info you may need just let me know and I will let ya know.

    Once again thanks

First make sure that you are getting proper connectivity, otherwise you can complaint to Internet Service Provider (ISP). Since, it is getting connected, definitely not issue of Router, so it may be ISP. First check the ISP, if still the problem persist continue to post here.
