Here is the solution for your problem:

For exporting the contacts from the outlook Express, you have to choose File -> Export -> Address Book.you have to choose File -> Export -> Address Book. After that choose Text File for the output format. Just keep in mind that you have to separate the values with comma. Then you have to just click the Export Button and save the file at any convenient place.

Now import the “.csv” file in to your Gmail account then click on the contacts link on the left side of the Gmail main screen. The contacts page lists your current Gmail contacts. After that click on Import at the top right and the choose the Browse button in the Import Contacts dialog box.

Now you have to just navigate and select the .csv file you have saved. Here click on the browse button which is in the import contact dialog box and then navigate and select the .csv file you have saved.

The last step you have to do is to choose Open, and click the Import Contacts button. Then close it and you will see the contact in your phone.

I am also having similar problem but not the same one. I want to transfer the contacts from the old mobile phone to the new one. My friend has suggested me to get contacts from your old phone into your new phone, you will need to copy them to software, which has the ability to export Comma Separated Value files (CSV). Any related replies will be appreciated.

    For non-Android Motorola phones:
If you are having a Non-Android Motorola mobile phone then for transferring the contacts you have to do the following steps.

    1. First, make sure your non-Android Motorola phone is compatible with MPT.
    2. In Microsoft Outlook, create a subfolder under 'Contacts' called 'Mobile Phone'.
    3. Launch Motorola Phone Tools (MPT).
    4. Click Phonebook. You will see a two-pane contacts view, with the PC contacts displayed on the left side and mobile phone memory contacts displayed on the right.
    5. From the PC Contacts pane, select the 'Mobile Phone' folder from the drop-down menu.
    6. From the Phone Contacts pane, highlight the contacts to copy and click the 'Phone to PC' icon in the middle of the two panes.
    7. After a few seconds you should see these same contact names in red under PC Contacts pane.
    8. Click on Apply Changes to save these new contacts to your PC.
    9. Select File > Exit to close the Phonebook Manager.
    10. Exit MPT and disconnect your old phone.

    Windows Mobile phone

If you are using Windows Mobile phone such as Motorola Q series
You will need either ActiveSync (Windows 2000, XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Microsoft Vista). These programs provide users of Microsoft Windows a way to transport documents, calendars, contact lists and email between their desktop computer and a mobile device
    • Connect your phone to the PC via the USB cable
    • Once your phone is detected the window below will appear. Click Next to continue
    • Select Contacts and click Next
    • You will be prompted with the option of Allowing Wireless Connections. Click Next after you have made your selection.
    • ActiveSync will save the settings, and synchronize the contacts between your phone and Outlook.
